since three years I am an avid reader of this forum and it was only possible to set up our DAW with the valuable information on this forum.

We have recorded and mixed our recent album completely with a PowerPulsar. We could have mastered it as well with our equipment, but we gave it to some friend who runs a Studio.
since we have been to close too our tracks at the time to do the mastering.

Even though our musical roots are indie guitar bands like The Smiths and the Pixies,
this album turned out to be Synth Pop.
But this just happened, this was not our plan, but with all the possiblities of PowerPulsar at our hands we were lead a bit
in the Synth sound direction.

Apart from the Pulsar we used Roland MC505
for drums and sounds.

I uploaded one of the tracks.

Comments are highly wellcome!

hi there!

I liked the tune, tho personally there was a couple of things that struck my mind;

I would would work on the drums a bit, especially the snare. i would prefer a more upfront snare, with more "spark" to it, to lift it in the mix and to brighten things up a little.

I would also try another bass sound, again a more cleaner one with a bit more high freq's.

then again, thats just me

all around a good tune

Hi, very nice track. Only 2 things:
Sounds like a bit to much an "Enjoy the Silence" tribute in the final (
Electronic drum boxes are fantastic in a lot of uses, but not for ever use. In this track would prefer an acoustic feeling, in my opinion.

I think this would be 100% better with some really agressive pure synthesised drums. But maybe that's just me - I don't like acoustic-sounding drums much in electronic music unless it's that raw DAF feel. Speaking of which some dirtying of the vocals would help give it an edge too.

I'd very much like to hear an angry remix of this. The song to me seems to have a really powerful edge that is begging to be let out... Closest paralell I can think of is Depeche Mode in their heavier moments.

The riff at the start also reminded me of the theme from the Exorcist.

Real 1980s feel. Took me back  Enjoyed it. Good voice too.
