Hi guys,

I've received a few complaints recently about a new forum user, Kiwi, asking for oxe installer files of Creamware products. Here's an example, sent via private message:
Hello,

in forums I saw that you have Vinco. Is it possible for you to send me vinco installation file with oxe extension. I am developing similar effect and would like to check a few things.. I know that I won't be able to install it on my computer because it works only with your card but I want to do some reverse engineering and need binary file for that.
Needless to say, I'm deleting the user's account. Please be aware that this kind of behavior is obviously illegal, and will not be tolerated on these forums.

Please let me know if you see anything like this going on.

Thanks
-John

and the words was just the same , about giving him those oxe files.....

and i was already asking few members here, what can he do with those files, if they are useless or maybe... anyway

As far as I was able to tell when I tried to pseudo-reverse-engineer one of my project files (trying to figure out why the h*ll I was getting "Cannot route" messages in the project), all the CreamWare files are encrypted. There isn't even a text string buried in the file that you can use, let alone any SHARC-based binary code that you could reverse-engineer.

Any hacker who wants to make an x86-based plugin using SHARC code is stupid. Any hacker who wants to write a compressor from the ground up in SHARC machine language is beyond stupid -- he's insane.

 On my logarithmic scale, that would put him right about here:

by next to nothing
then again, whos gonna play half life 2 if Valve goes bust?

(i own both shitloads of devs, i also own hl2. my bet is that ppl change their mind about hacking CW if they go down, making our software fuxxed by online activation)

icondemn haxxing anyway, never send this dude what he asx for.

but, as an experiment, what would you say if CW went bust? would it be OK to use cracks then?
