The first device, 1-2 MIDI Switch, is a simple device: it switches a MIDI input between two MIDI outputs. Of course it's automatable. The second device, Advanced MIDI Switch, has four switchable inputs that get routed to four switchable outputs. There's an extra MIDI input labeled "Cont" for "Controller" which automates the input/output switches (Scope didn't like having all four MIDI inputs control the knobs at once). Borg requested these -- thanks Borg!
They're pretty easy to figure out. Have fun!

hi shayne,
thanks a lot for taking the time to do this. could i make some suggestions though?
the modules in the routing window: if you would name them 'SMS' and 'AMS' they would take up less space. same goes for the devices' surfaces. they're nice, but too big. after all, they're midi switches and not some fancy synths that need to inspire. have a look at
neutron's Joy2Midi, make it half the size, and done...
again many thanks... but indeed, i was looking for the other way around.

Hi there,
this looks interesting but anyone would like to explain a situation where this is used ? may be i would learn something 9sincerely) ?? thanks in advance.

well i would use the switch i asked for (not available yet) to easily switch between my controller(s) and sequencer. i know j9k has already made a midi switcher for this kind of stuff, but it's all about screen real estate. the smaller the better.
i hadn't really thought of the 'advanced MS' but since it is controlable, you could do some pretty sick signal routing for live break stuff.

OK, I updated the file, shrinking the devices and adding a 2 input/1 output MIDI switch. You're all set!

thanks a lot!
out of curiosity... because i barely get any further than the basics in modular, i was thinking not to waste my time with SDK and leave it to the people that really enjoy this stuff, and are probably a lot better at it than me.
but really how hard is it once you're set up? are devices like these switches really simple to make, or you need to do some mathematics along the way, programmers stuff?
i don't want to sound lazy, but i'd rather like making music than learning yet another app.

The SDK is pretty hard. You don't need to know any programming code, but it is very time consuming, and it's hard to work around a few bugs. Just those MIDI switches took hours for me. If you want to do anything constructive, you'd have to devote a lot of time to it. I made a few devices after I got it, and now I'm taking a break.
