Ok... until i can afford to buy final scratch, a hardware/software solution that will allow me to play mp3's onto a vinyl record on my turntable, i want to use traktor to mix songs i make with other records. my question is... can i have sfp, cubase, and traktor open?
the way i thought i would set it up is:
traktor has a "headphone" cue/main out and then a main out. so...
send "headphone" out of traktor to asio source 1+2 in sfp into channel 1 of 2448 with record bus off. then send the direct out of channel 1 into sfp analog out. this is just to monitor the mix so i can cue "deck 1" and "deck 2" and match the beats so they don't play out loud... anyone who is a dj will understand what i am talking about.
then, send main from traktor to asio source 3+4 and then into channel 2 of 2448 with rec bus 1+2 on. then send bus 1+2 out to asio dest. 1+2. this is so i can record the traktor main out to cubase or wavelab, so i would not need to hear it, just have the main signal bieng sent from traktion to cubase or wavelab.
does this all make sense, and does it sound correct?
the problem i am having is this. when i open sfp... then open traktion... everything is fine. then, with both open, i try to open cubase... and it says scope is not running or i don't have an asio source and asio dest. in my project. same happens when i try to open sfp, then cubase, then traktor.
anyone know why it would be doing this?
my only guess is that i would need 2 asio source modules and 2 asio dest. modules. when i try to do this... insert a second asio module... then it asks me if i would like to remove the first in place of the second... when i answer no, then it just cancels putting in the second module.
maybe i should use a wave source and destination to record?
in case of the later... would i feed the traktor main signal in to sfp through a wave and send it out to cubase through asio?
