Hey,
I've got a problem with my Luna 2496 box since I bought a new PC (asus P4C800-E deluxe MOBO). Sometimes the box doesn't get initialised, the leds won't light up . After rebooting my PC a couple of times, it will finaly run...
but this can take a while..
any ideas?

I don't think so because when I disconnect the luna box and reconnect it the leds (red)light up for a moment.
I forgot to mention that when the box doesn't get initialised I can't run my sequencer software.. I get an ASIO error.
Maybe the pulsar 2 board doesn't run correctly... frustrating

Did you connect that 'floppy-like' power cable to the Z-Link daughterboard? The Luna2496 io box draws some extra power which might not be sustained over the PCI bus alone...
In any case, the Lunabox, connected or not, should not make any difference for your ASIO drivers, and that is what the sequencers uses. It doesn't know nor care what hardware io you connect to the daughterboard, that is just a matter of connections in the project.

so I guess the problem is not my luna box but the Pulsar 2 card itself..
damn..

could someone check if the green powerled of the lunabox lights up and stays lit when the computer is started or when windows is loaded and scope starts?
thanks

Yes, it stays on while there is a project with zlink modules loaded.
On mine anyway...

hmm
I think the pulsar 2 board is kaput..
first.. all those "unexpected dsp overload" messages while not even doing anything with it... now this.... can't be good..
think i'm gonna lay down in my bed and cry now...

fortunately, you are relatively close to germany for service.....
good luck! (just a matter of time)

look in programs---accessories--system tools and system information----hardware recources and conflicts. maybe it is some IRQ conflict so maybe you can put your pulsar in other PCI slot

ok.. In an act of despair I removed my pulsar board and took apart the Z-link plate from the dsp-board. Put it all back together and placed it back into my PC.
It probably is pure luck but everything seems to work pretty fine now??!!?? I just hope it remains that way...

Hi gents,
I've bought my Luna 2496 box almost 3 years ago. All the 8 VU-leds of the 8 in/outputs work just normal and the sound is perfect. But the power led on the box has never lit up. Am I the only one with the power led which is not functioning?
cheers,
Darce

Bummer then....
Ah well, I'm planning to replace the Luna box with an A16 Ultra in the near future anyway .
thanks,

Last weak I thought one of my two Luna boxes was broken.
In the Scope Samplerate menu I saw just one box beeing 'seen', as one led didn't lit up.
Yet the power led on the Lunabox worked.
It appeared to be the Z-link cable not well enough connected in the Pulsar card...
Not of much help I'm afraid
