Hello everyone,

This is my first post although I've been reading this forum for some days. There's always valuable information and nice songs to hear

I've got a PowerPulsar since last week, and I really like this card!

Actually I solved the problem mentionned in the subject (at least I know why it happens). Just sharing my experience...

So sometimes I couldn't use any of the windows applications (including winamp and VST instruments). But this was happening randomly and reboot solved the problem (sometimes).

The reason is that when loading a new project in Scope 4, if my Noah is on, it is first scanned by DirectX and detected as main audio interface (ran dxdiag to see this)...
Since the output to the speakers is on the PowerPulsar, I did not hear anything anymore.

The solution is to turn the Noah off when loading a new project... actually it's not the best solution on earth, but it's better than rebooting the computer...

If someone has some idea on how to disable the windows driver of the noah and still being able to use the Noah remote software for editing, then I'm interested!

Thank you very much!

Regards,

Breakthru,

Have you tried going into the "Sounds and Audio Devices" control panel, on the 3rd tab (Audio) and setting up 'default devices'? Point it at your preferred Scope wav drivers and just don't hit 'play' on anything until the new SFP project is fully loaded. Incidetnally this shouldn't affect ASIO either way.
