This is a House project I'm doing with a couple of strange dudes, sharing naugthy fantasies.

I've never been into house, but those guys and girls are very much into the clubscene. So it's cool to learn how this genre is very opposit of what I'm doing elsewize. And, man, that's kind of cool to have some restrictions to the drums, in which, in my other projects is very vivid. Close attention has to be on how the hihat grooves. And that's basicly done by compression and sidechaining. Actually everything is sidechainged to the drums to get that "push" feeling.

The arrangement is going to change quite a bit, I think, too follow the rules of house expression curves. But thats up to the club people in da house.

I hope I got the picture somehow, anyway comments are welcome

sounds a bit trancey, but definitely house. I guess you know I'm more of a latin/disco house kinda guy when it comes to house, so it's different from what I'm used to writing.

Cool idea and basic groove, it's heading into a good direction. It's got a great past midnight, maybe 2-3 o'clock feel to it. (and not the 11-1 o'clock "energetic" feel) Or maybe it's a before club tune to listen to on your way to the club.

Right off the bat, I have to say that I am unfamiliar with the Genre, so I will limit my comments to engineering details.

I find the frequency balance to be very strange...to my ear there is simply a big hole in the middle. It's an instrumnet thing...those horns could have more mid oomph, more presence in the mix, there is nothing else there, let them fill it!

The bass is kinda sloppy somehow, maybe it's the sidechain thing...like the attacks aren't always there because it wasn't played right in the first place and the gate is trying to make it sound synced up.

It's catchy, you have established a pretty cool groove, I wish it didn't fade out...

Love the track! Not sure about the horn sound tho, does it fit? Seems to just parp away on top on an techno / house pattern. Try less filtering (or sidechain). Clarity is is important, through big speakers loud.
I presume the lo-fi sound is an mp3 effect. Nice groove, good starting place.

Hey! I'm very familiar with the genre, I have crates of stuff like this. The horn TOTALLY fits(keep it). I really like the tune. Sounds like something off the label Honchos. Keep working with it.

Interesting start, has some great ideas, but me being a club dj for many years in techno clubs I find there to be a hole missing in the bass section, the bass to me is fine for a start but for true house music I think at some point early in the track you should use a low cut of that bass and introduce another deeper base that follows a more traditional house bassline.

Maybe even a deep filtered live bass sound, almost in a pattern like, I hate to use this example but do you know how the bassline runs in daryl hall and john oats, I think the song was called " I cant go for that ".

To me I always find house music is very beat driven, the bass being the heart and soul of the song,the rest is just elements, but the most important area being the bassline.

Aside from that I think it has alot of potential and I love the female vocal. Also maybe dont be scared to use a high resonant on the female vocal to squelch it a bit, just another element.

Sounds pretty twisted for house but here in the usa house really sucks. I like this though.
