Hi, nowadays I'm listening more and more times "let's get it started" of black eyed peas. I'm not a fan of this kind of music, but I find this track simply amazing for how it's mixed. It's becamed one of the track I will listen before starting a mix.

Usually I have some favourite "best mixes" that I listen to "calibrate my ears". Among of this I have some pieces of Alan Parsons like limelight,Jarre (oxigen 1-6 /7-13 and other), Vangelis,Orbit and few others.

What's your favourites mixes? (any kind of music is wellcome  )

I am currently in a strange patch about mixing.

I listen(watch) Michael Jackson's video "Ghosts" a lot lately trying to grasp the concept of the mix. The featured song is "2 Bad"( not the same arrangement as on "History"). The arrangement-mixing is simply amazing. The crystal-clean sound, the extreme use of Gates makes my jaw drop every time. This mix is a perfect example that choice of effects is certainly part of an arrangement. The only thing that bugs me is that you just can't do this kind of thing live.

Maybe I'm a bit O.T. ?
