VCO

no problem, guys. this is a fairly old device, made with an older version of DP, but still functions just fine for me. it uses the old preset list method. use it as you like, just please don't email me if you have any support issues, as it is no longer supported by me. sorry, no XTC functionality.

EDIT: i just noticed that the BPM divider on the S&H clock control isn't working as one would expect it to (the divisions are not correctly represented by the text controller). it still can yield really cool results once you play around with things a bit. the MIDI clock can't really be used accurately the way things are currently patched (you'll have to tweak things manually to get the right rhythm going)

if i remember things correctly, i set this up to produce a mod to the synth's global pitch frequency from the relationship between the controller LFO's frequency and the S&H clock frequency (which has the divider and a quantizing trim)... think of it as the controller LFO's frequency passing through the S&H clock as a kind of frequency filter that can produce stepped and gliding results (and combinations of the two).

it's fairly unintuitive to look at, unfortunately, but with some messing around it can produce some excellent S&H effects. i think i was going to improve this section, back "in the day", but it didn't sell well enough for me to bother.

i think the synth, overall, still sounds pretty great (and distinctive).

Now if I could figure out how the hell to work the old preset menus ide be in good shape, I cant seem to figure out how to save a new patch, ahh new school I am..

Thanks for another cool synth to add to the collection, thats what so cool about this platform, so many plugs both from CW and 3rd parties, I swear I rarely use anything from synths and samplers aside from the mini, after that its all 3rd party stuff mostly and additional CW purchases.

You can save the preset as a separate file. In the sliding righthand panel, you can load preset files saved separately on the drive.

It's also possible to save the device usually, which includes the left (main) preset list, MIDI channel and CC# assigned to the device. Backup the device beforehand though, cos it will be overwritten and can be save corrupted. This last trick is what I usually do, but it doens't work on all devices.
