My preamp (VC1) has one output and Pulsar left and right input. What do I do to avoid only left or right input?

just use the pan setting and turn the other fader down (rightclick or...(don't know Windows))

record to a mono track.
I record my vc3 that way
(in cubase: IN 3 left) for asio dest 3 - left
