Without me having e-mailing CWA, does anybody know what the 'ASync' parameter on the DSP Meter tells us?
I'm having cases where it gradually increases to an astronomical figure.
At the moment it appears to be occurring only on any one DSP of a particular card - I am hoping this doesn't mean that this card is on it's way out!!

ASync are non audio calculations like midi data etc. I can't go in deep, I'm not a developer, but if all is ok,I don't see problems..but I can't say if it's a problem or not...if you have other symptoms report them.

Dunno, sorry.
But it'd be nice if there were a line with the total percentage.
And if it would open with percentages first or last setting.

Sync is fuctions that perform on the DSPs, and ASync is fuctions that perform on the host CPU. I don't know what the numbers are supposed to mean, though. I have the "astronomical number" syndrome too; try clicking on % which will probably give you a more acurate picture.

you have to specify what plugs you are running.

alright, but very very minimalistic...

@Plato: Sorry, I did consult the manual first before posting but missed that page. Thanks for pointing that out.
@Shayne: Thanks for pointing out that you have the same oddity as me. I am wondering if this is normal! Can you recall if your projects run ok even though this happens?
@j9k: Hmmm, I would if there was a particular device it happens with. I tend to get the hint it's a routing thing - I know this doesn't make sense considering ASync is CPU activity. I thought it was originally to do with Hummel's Coma but then found it went away when I removed a Vinco instance from a STM2448 insert slot. Then it happened with the Timeworks VintageEQs on a different DSP to before. If I remember right, when it happens it appears to be isolated to DSPs on a particular one card. I might try re-seating this one and see if that makes a difference. Does this give any more ideas?
Cheers.
P.S. If I load the VintageEQs in a different order it doesn't happen....

I've got projects where this happens too, but I don't think it necessarily means anything's wrong???
