Hi all,

Well in a few days I should have the rest of the parts for my new PC I am building, I think with all the hoopla going on right now ill let the heat dye down a little before I switch to 4.0. What I am wondering is, if I am performing a fresh instal for everything including the OS, what drivers will I be using, the way I installed my card the 1st go round was, when Windows found the card I selected my own drivers and after the card was installed withg drivers then installed 3.1c

So if there is no new drivers for 4.0 as I am guessibg, do I use the old 3.1c drivers 1st and then install 4.0 directly from there?

Cheers!

4.0 includes drivers - you can just clean install from there. I had a difficult time installing 4.0. I had to install it 3 times before it would load without erroring on missing files. The install seems ok and plays ok, but something isn't right with the actual install routine. Not for me anyway.

So then install the card and when windows see's the card cancel the driver install? Then install 4.0 and reboot should install the driver for the scope card?

Funky way to install the drivers.

Cheers!

Drivers are the same. I did a setup in a new folder, a copy of all other plug-ins, edit scope.rgy, copy+paste the other keys and finally deleted old folder. Checked with a test project (Cooledit->SFP packed with mastering goodies->WaveLab Lite) and then deleted old folder.
IMHO it's best to install the drivers first, as usual. See Tips&Tricks forum for more information why. (1. drivers,2. audioapps and/or sequencer, THEN SFP)
