I own 4 cards, I get 50% of 1 plugin.

I knew it sounded too good to be true.

We must do something with this f... situation!
I have also 4 boards. I want to have for free MasterVerb, Optimaster, STS5000 etc. it's included with 15 DSP boards but I have 21 DSP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I'd like to have several sets of free Mackie speakers, and free Pro Tools DSP hardware, and free Nord synthesizers, and free Spectrasonics synths. Get over yourselves...

Nobody is asking for anything for free. But if I were to register each card at separate times and buy all the plugins at different times (10 minutes apart) I would be able to buy 4 plugins at 50% off. I have a customer that has 2 different cards and he did it that way and it worked.

So maybe you should get over yourself. Get your facts straight be fore you go around insulting people.Nobody is asking for anything for free, just what they said I should be entitled to.

'They' being Creamware? So...if they told you that you are entitled to four half-price plugins, what's the problem?

This is what I think 'they' have to say:

"You can update to version 4.0 and we will offer you also the golden opportunity to buy one plugin (except bundles) for half of the normal price"

I can't see where it says that you get a half-price plugin per board?

Or...a half price plugin for every 5.25 DSP chips...?

Creamware have to rationalise their product range / packages to some degree, otherwise for them it would be a nightmare. I could buy 20 more Pulsar IIs and not get the same software package as if I bought the full Scope board.

Not only are they offering a half-price plugin (and free s/w upgrade) but they've also cut prices on their plugin range.

I glad to know what you "think", but in the email I recieved from Creamware support I was told to contact the head office in Germany and they would take care of it.

So once again, another case of someone saying what they hink and not what they know.

I would not have raised the issue if I didn't know of someone with 2 different activation keys that got 2 different plugins at 50% off.

It's still not clear what you're saying - have Creamware actually told you that you are entitled to four half-price plugins as you have four boards / 21 DSPs?

7XL might be right. The situation leads to THIS workaround, too:
If you have, say, 2 boards, you can 'sell' one to your friend. Of course you don't sell it to your friend but just reregister it to a new account. This way this friend is also entitled to get the 50% disscount, who stops me? Though it's not 100% fair for people who don't find this way it should work. And this situation should be considered by the CW staff. Did I miss anything?

P.S.
BTW would it be a crime?

You're mixing me up with the other person that posted in this thread.

But yes, Creamware did say that I should be entitles to 4 50% off plugins, and I have 51 DSP (3 x 15 and 1 x6)

Well, then that's good isn't it? Why'd you start the thread off by saying that you can only get 1x plugin @ 50%?

"So once again, another case of someone saying what they think and not what they know."

Indeed!

edit: p.s. I can't see how somebody can know anything other than what they think (they know)...I think! I certainly know I think that.

strange how many of these fresh new members start shouting out loud their vague and not well documented frustrations into our community.
It's discussed widely already on planetz, and they don't take the time to look what's up here and start crying I want I want...

CWA clearly has stated the discount offer is chained to user registration, like Counterpart showed very well here.
If someone is enabled by CWA to get more than one plug, they should feel honoured and gifted.
That's another thing than shouting here I want this or that bla bla.

Concerning the fake selling trick, this can be done, I guess.
I even considered for one second to ask the former owner of my second board to do me a favor and get a plug 'for me'.
I could, coz the thing isn't registated on my name yet, I just use 'his' My Page data.
But I will not do this

This thread will lead to a huge bomb of emails to CWA from people with more than one board, poor them!

Yea Huub, I think it's rather funny to see all new members in these topics.

Any one noticed that almost no one who's been with CW for some years is complaining? We're just getting the service we've been getting for ages, which is excellent IMO, and exactly what I (or almost anyone who's been using SFP for a while) expected after they made it past chapt.11.

So now I see the option shown by me is breaking the law. No, no, I wouldn't have expected it to be legal. I just wanted to show you it is possible to get more plugs.

selling your board is never illegal I guess.
CWA should incorporate some time delay in selling the discount plugs, or at least selling back a board to the 'old' owner.
As I said, I will not sell to trick, instead I will ask my dad to enlarge my weekly pocket mony.

 didn't you notice ?
a second or third account for another board is perfectly within the rules, the system even asks you 'if you want to create a new...' when entering the reg pages.

that 'opportunity' obviously will only work immediately after registration, at least that's how I interpret the fat print - so who will let the chance pass ?
And who will get the cheapos ?

That's a mere 100 Euros per registration, another 100 for the second, another...
CWA does need cash, so let 'em go.
Imho it's a clever marketing move, open the backdoor a little bit, make them feel smart - but they are right where you wanted them to be

cheers, Tom

Spot on astroman !

And it is funny to watch all these new members step into the Z just to have a cry and a whinge - a great introduction. I wonder if they'll as quickly disappear ?

but you'll need more than one email adress (not web based like Hotmail I guess).
Not everyone has a collect-all email adress, if this works at all (info@etc and thelike).
Am I overlooking something or seeing ghosts?
