Hi,

I'm having this problem:
Logic stops if I turn a knob in Pulsar II.

This makes it impossible to use Pulsar II for anything serious

I read somewhere that it could have something to do with priority.
Can anybody explain exactly how to set sfp to a lower priority ?

I'm Using win 2000

Thanks a lot in advance!

Right click on the taskbar, click on 'Task Manager'. Go to the Processes tab, find SFP.exe, and right click on it. Choose 'Set Priority-> Below Normal' or 'Low'.

Alternatively you can change Logic to 'AboveNormal'.

There are ways to automate this with the use of batch files and has been discussed before - do a search here on Planet Z.

Reducing the amount of colors seems to help too!

Also there are a few win2k issues you should check out.

After insuring you have at LEAST a 1ghz cpu you should also search for threads on ACPI vs. Standard PC.

Thanks dArKr3zIn, that helped solving problem no.1

I found this discussion. However their slolution to automate sfp starting as "Below Normal" priority doesn't work for me, probally because my sfp.exe is located on my D-drive, in a folder called "appl"

Does anybody know how to make sfp start in "Below Normal" priority mode ?

Thanks you in advance!

first of all: Did you install SP4 for win2000 ? I´m afraid most problems within win 2000 are a result of SP4. If so try downloading and installing the patch from microsoft which is called Windows2000-KB824141-x86-DE.exe
(for the german version).

SP3 should be still sufficient enough.
