Argh... need some advice here.
I was just about to buy Flexor when the news about Adern releasing Phil and Grainmiller.
I'm not much of a guy doing own Modular patches, but I fully understand the capabilities by using the modules just for effect processing.
I'm after good saturation effects and granular effects and slicing.
Should I wait for Grainmiller and Phil or should I hit the Buy-button in the CW shop?

RedMuze has stated that Phil & Grainmiller will incorporate FleXor v2 technologies but the standalones will be much lighter on DSP than the building the same thing in a modular shell (and less prone to phase issues or they're eliminated completely).
They are also laid out in such a way as to achieve certain results, with highly configurable routing.
FleXor (and v2) in contrast are extremely flexible but there is less control over phase issues and as for GUI, well we all have stared at a modular patch looking for the knob we want to automate at one point or another. However I might also add that Phil & Grainmiller are only a small subset of what FleXor is capable of.
Can't tell you what to buy myself (I'm biased-get all 3!) but I can tell you that FleXor + v2 upgrade is a better deal now than FleXor v2 by itself, even tho that's nearly counting pennies at the price.

Argh (again). You don't make things easier you know
Does _anyone_ have any idea of when all this will be released? Spring 2004 can be almost anything. Especially when you count how long it took for CW to release CW after the v1 announcement.

I would buy FleXor now and upgrade as it's possible.
You might not be in the Modular now but:
1)It can be a good way to start diggin'in..it's good to grow and learn.
2)FleXor is much more than granular and a filterbank, also incredible shapers, Ramp sequencing, great Osc.s and ultra fast Envelopes.
3)There are a lot of very good patches made with flexor that you can play until you learn it well. Some of them are spectacular.
4)It's the best Quality/Cost ratio thing since the beginning of Pulsar.
5)ReD MuZe is a very nice and supportive guy with a lot of knowledge.
I hope it's easier now.
