i am addicted to Native Instruments Metaphysical Function. i recorded a lot of waves from it and used in ambient projects.
my question: how is it structured according to you? i'd like to replicate it in someway in my mod3+flexor... any basic idea??

Hi Bosone,
I thought about the structure of metaFunc too, since I got it the last christmas.
Well, it looks like that metaFunc is based on a sample pool. When you switch through all presets you always hear that each preset is based on two sounds/samples. The first sound starts and later a second scene fades in, then the second sound fades out and it starts from the beginning.
When you randomize a preset by a small value (1-8) you can hear changes in the pitch mainly.
When you increase the random value more things are happen. I guess randomize affects the envelopes, pitch and maybe some LFOs that works on the envelopes too.
I think metaFunc has a nice reverb unit, too.
I couldn“t find further information about the structure of metaFunc in the net.
To convert the metaFunc to SFP would be a heavy task, not to mention the scope.
I canceled a conversion because I have no idea how to build a randomize section.
Anyway, that are my thoughts only, good luck.

i was not thinking about to create a "exact copy" of MF, but to make a modular synth able to produce similar texture to the one created by MF, since they are very good.
i made four ambient tracks for a videogame using 98% waves recorded with MF!!!

Rumor has it there is a .ens floating around, one day it actually appeared on the reaktor forums and was promtly deleted, luckily some people were able to grab it before the moderator vanquished it!
Cheers! *evilgrin*
