Does anyone know what the Boards of Canada boys are doing to get that cool wavering detune and slow modulation sound they use in almost every song? Sounds like they use only 2 or three synths.
I've gotten close, but never spot on.

Not sure... their synth work sounds very analog to me though.
I also know they use Eventide FX.. which could possibly be doing cool pitching/harmonizing stuff...

A subtle, slow pitch modulation will get you halfway to that wavery sound they like.
Everytime I hear a synth patch that reminds me of them, its because of the pitch modlation.
