Hi all,

Well as some of you may know I am new to SFP and after listening to the FleXor mp3s I decided to make that my 1st creamware purchase, the only problem is I have zero idea how to do anything in modular. I do own Reaktor4 and have played around with it so I has a semi understanding of modular, but I never really created anything, I usually just take something I like and then add modules to it.

Now I leaded up some flexor patches and they sound fabulous but, I have no concept of what I am doing in the CW modular, so I was wondering if any one knew of a guide aside from the CW manual to teach me how to construct and realize ideas and sounds in creamware with flexor combined.

Start checking the tutorial patches, there are in mod 2 and flexor packages.
Also read the manuals, both the operational section and the module references.
I started so, with mod 1 in 1999, also playing and experimenting the craziest connections with no clue...

But reading the manuals is very important, because even if you think you don't understand well, you start to absorbe some concepts, that at a certain point are useful to understand other concepts....

Something you could start to do: put DC offset removers before your modular outs, so even if you do something weird, like connecting a flexor ramp signal somehow to the outs of your patch (bad move) you don't risk your speakers health..

After this, have always a volume control starting from low, and then experiment.

You could take some simple patch and try to add another filter or subsitute it,,,as starting point...

You'll have great time, this is the most exciting part of sfp..

I recommend getting your feet wet building simple filterbanks and other simple fx devices. It will teach you to route signals in the modular without overwhelming you with a host of things to keep track of.
