You can add menus in your SFP environment by adding sub folders in your sfp/devices folder. SFP sorts the acording to the alphabet with the twist, that it takes all capitalized letters before noncapitalized letters. Example:

Custom setups
Effects
Midi
Mix
Modular
Modular 3
Modular II
Synths
Tools
abracadabra
test

*********************************************

Another related tip:

I have tossed around the contend of the default folders. I.E. I have added chorus/flanger/phazer subfolders to the modulation folder. After that, I have moved the modules to the folders, where I like to see them. I have also moved the DC filter to a subfolder named "cuts" wich is under the frequency folder. In the "synth" folder, I have added subfolders for the manufacturers. In the mix folder, I have added a folder with less used devices in my "Mix" folder.

*********************************************

Tip 3 - do you raly use all those software I/Os?

I don't. Therefor, I have gone to the SFP/APP/IO/SOFTWARE folder (I think this is right, I don't have SFP at hand here), and deleted the ones, I never use. You can always take back-ups by moving the files to another folder, if you want a "redo" option.

XTC devices have to be at locations as specified in SCOPEVST.CFG, or a shell will load without GUI for the device. Adjust SCOPEVST.CFG accordingly or keep hands of the tree structure. I ran into this problem when I moved the /Devices/ and /Presets/ folders to another drive where they are not overwritten during re-installation of SFP.

That one is very very TRUE at0mic, yesterday I did forget it before an uninstall and now I'm facing lots of work to adjust everything as it was.

And I'll not get everything recaptured

I take back-ups of my working installation. I just copy my entire SFP folder to another hard drive.
