Hi all.. I just need a little advice from you  I have a Pulsar II board and I'm very happy with it. Now I would like to buy another dsp card and i like how UAD-1 and TCPowercore works, cause I can see that i can easily use it with my Pulsar wihtout changing mny way to work.
Someone has it? Someone should please advise me about which one is the best? Which one comes with the best plugins?
Pulsar II and one of that should works fine together? I understand that both of that cards works like simple VST plugins (i'll load a plugins from Cubase mixer in the same way i'm doing right now with any other VST plugin.. right?... Is it right?
Thanx a lot for any help

I can recommend the UAD1, it's cheap (that is th e price!) and the compressors, EQ and the Pultec are very high quality. The reverbs are though nothing special. I don't have the powercore but that is supposed to have great reverbs - the price on the other hand it to high.

Not anymore - With the release of the Powercore elements, which is essentially the same card, the price is lower than the UAD.

3 Creamware cards and UAD-1 here. Complement each other nicely. UAD compressors are excellent, gotta scratch up $149 for the farichild, it's gorgeous. As far as the verb - Dreamverb's plates are nice and very usable imo. Powercore elements is tempting, especially for the sony plugins... I guess it's never enough really

Indead good news Powercore for 499$ that's something new. Interesting new policy practically giving out the cards to make profit from the plugins - What will be the CW and UA answear to this!

I cant comment on the TC card, but I use the UAD-1 with a Pulsar II and I think it works pretty well, I have no complaints. The UAD-1's reverbs and choruses are great for vocals, very clear and real sounding. The compressors the UAD comes with are very usable, the 1176 compressor I find can take just about any instrument and make it heard in the mix with a minimal change to the rest of the mix. I would tend to rate the reverb, chorus, flanger, compressors, eq, a bit cleaner sounding than the ones that come free with the Creamware card. I use the odd effect from the creamware card, but mainly use it for the virtual synths (and to drive ASIO of course). And I can just slather on the effects from the UAD card within cubase, works great.

I can recommend both the TC and the UAD cards... both offer a sound pallette which is very different to Pulsar, and in my view the more colours you have in your pallette, the more interesting the final picture.

I personally wouldn't give up my Creamware stuff for either, though... but as a complement, they are great.
