Hello,

I found some little ways to add features to some patching with FleXor stuff, and' I want to share.

1) You all know that the NBL saw oscillator is designed for that fantastic sound in a way that makes frequency progressively drop from a certain point at higher notes.
A way to extend quite a lot it's range with a fairly correct pitch is to use a pitch modulator module between MVC and NBL saw, and feed also a modulation input of it with the Freq. signal from MVC and set modulation knob around 1:30 o'clock position.

2) All flexor sequencer modules are strictly monophonic, that means that on their own they are not able to modulate or gate poly modules without breaking their polyphony. But don't worry! You can obtain it putting a poly out module (yes!) with full volume up (or it doesn't work) , between your FleXor seq. modules and the filter mod inputs or the envelope gate ins...
In this situation poly out duplicates and distributes the signal through polyphony.

I found them useful, I hope you too!

Cheers

hi Alfonso,
as I often use the Adern seq modules, your tip sounds good to me.Bad thing is I couldn't get it to work. For the control seq, it's ok but note and gate modules don't act as expected.Don't know what's wrong here.
Basic setup is: MVC freq > note seq > poly >osc > vca(<env) > poly > audio out.Voices set to 5 instances. It's no difference to monophonic.Same is for the gate seq.Can you give me a hint?

You might also want to post about the poly issues with the sequencers over at the adern forums

Right..

Wait! I posted that there, but in the tech support section...who knows why...

well, only one thing...the image there is wrong as the poly out must be full volume up!

And yes, I have been not precise, I had not tried with note seq. modules...I've gotta check again...In Adern forums I only talked about controller and gate...but I have to check better.

ok, I think valis is right - this is s 100% Flexor thing, for those who are interested, look at http://www.adern.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=136

Roy, check the Tech Support Adern forum again, there's a patch I uploaded there that works. With poly Gate and Control Seqs.

Cheers
