Hi Guys,

We are going to provide the Impulse Equalizer implementation as requested by other users group. Here is the Preliminary Graphical-User-Interface Screenshot as follows:

Let me explain a bit about the technology:
I think that most of you might know the Impulse Reverb, this Equalizer is similar technology. It is called Impulse Response Filter and FFT filter Algorithms as user-defined Equalizer. You can create your own number of EQ bands and the corresponding frequencies in any ranges from 1hz to 22050hz at -90dB to +12dB, for example.

It is in the process, which needed more testing. Currently it supports standard wave drivers as standalone apps, will be VST later. So, just wondering that is anyone here interested?

Sounds interesting. A little like the free filter.
A piano sound with a long gong impulse or a warm pad combined with a Tenor sax.
I would give it a try.

One or more options are that you can have the offline rendering capability, be able to load and save the existing wave files through the Impulse EQ without other Host Programs needed.

I totally dislike it. The interface, not the idea
LHong, since this is an 'unusual' equalizer, could you think of another way of interaction, which avoids the analytical, lots-of-dots-to-tweak approach ?

Imho it would be easier to market if the visual representation looks completely different from what is (usually) associated with an equalizer.
Just to picture the idea: a group of geometrical items which change in color and shape or a caleidoscope like representation.
Something abstract to control it and possibly the calculated curve on demand.

In any case it would be good to continue working on the idea. You're probably pretty confident that once you've mastered the eq there's even more to what the processing could be applied.

Is this like having an impulsereverb with white noise as impulse, and then modifying the white noise with a megamultilotsofband equalizer?

It looks confusingly due the fine grids in the spectrum. The idea is shown the possibility that you can fine adjust the EQ parameter. Of course, it is an Equalizer and the GUI is designed to work for the Equalizer...

Let see more how it works:
Please take a look on the Scope/Pulsar Parametric EQ device, it should works same way (exactly). Except, you can create a lot of more (100+ bands) instead of only 3..5 bands.
For example, by double mouse-click to Create or Hide the Visual Instance Pointers (little balls), then drag the instance (individual or multiple) to any places, where the X and Y coordinated (X is Frequency in hz and Y is Amplitude in dB), in order to see it works in realtime as the way your ears wanted. That's all, usually you can load from the preset list then it should be very simple and easy to make your own from there.
I'd like to hear the idea from you if you have any in mind?

That's right!
This equalizer is implemented in two personalities:
Traditional EQ and impulse alike EQ.

Note that, it is more than just an impulse-Equalizer, of course you can use it as the impulse-reverb later version...
