Well, just to report on my decision on the question asked on a previous thread. A couple of points:

1.- I was able to work a little bit more with the Reaktor demo. All in all, a great product, but I realized something: Reaktor is more of a Synth construction kit than a modular... Of course, Reaktor has macros that will give you the software modular look and feel, but I felt that the complexity of Reaktor was too much for what I do with my music setup

2.- Xmas specials! The Synth'n'Sampler pack was just to good to pass up. MINIMAX rules!
MIII, is of course, included.

3.- So I splurged and went ahead and got me a Pulsar II to go along my Pulsar I.

4.- I am extremely happy with it... MIII is great. It is in fact so good that I don't think I'll need Flexor for a while... The standard stuff is enough the keep me busy for a while. Things that you wouldn't think you would use, like the Frequency Divider can help you achieve wonderful effects on plain design.

5.- Other stuff like the SB404 just rounded the deal... Not extremely impressed with the 5000 sampler, but I have to admit that the sound quality is great.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with my decision.

6.- When do you guys think I will be ready for Flexor?

Flexor ... the very first time I had to push the brakes instead of the accelerator : an another bargain for a new sonic dimension !

Modular is just a huge launching pad for Flexor ... mix them with j9k modules while you' re at it.

If you're still at it, *definitely* try the freshly released Melohman by Ohmforce ...

If I had to pick 2 in this hell of a 2003 year !!

I was just reading about the Mehloman and it sounds very interesting... plus it's not terribly expensive stuff... It's definitely worth a look.

You've got a 6 - 8 hours demo then white noise should rise up to ruin the party.
I've spent 10 awesome minutes tweaking upon a single very dull vocal sample without reading the manual ...
So it's sold here !

Note : it's *highly* recommended to press the player / tweaker toggle button near tempo display to display ( ah ! ) more controls, and then tweak of course ...

Hi Victor, good decision you´ve made.
To point six, once you´ve tried the demo of FleXor you should be addicted to it.
I tried the demo patches and only got through the third patch in the hour.
Christmas is near and I´ll have my FleXor.

NI gave me Reaktor after they bought out SynC Modular (of which I was a proud registered owner). Well, I still use SynC every so often but I never even bothered to install the new version of Reaktor...

May I dare to ask, why didn't you decide to give Reaktor a whirl?
