Can someone please clear me on this: i have a pulsar II z-link. what happens if i buy another pulsar II with different I/O(classic for instance) and synth'n'sampler pack- you know the X-mas deal. If i cascade them, do i get to use both I/O daughter boards? Are the SFP and/or additional devices assigned to specific board, how is DSP load distributed?
It's quite urgent, i would apprecciate very much if older coleagues could elucidate this matters.

SFP will use them as one unit with combined keys, IO and dsp.
How? Simply insert the card and install the drivers. Connect both cards with STDM cables.

the distribution is (almost) completely automatic and the devices are executed on any DSP, regardless to what board they were registered.
You'll probably want to register them to the one you already own - just in case you might sell the hardware some day.
The IO extension should be interchangeable as well in that case.

let me make sure i get this right. I can register synth'n'sampler pack with my first pulsar and then register the second board's SFP to get the second set of keys which i only need if i want to sell the second board- no need to transfer filekeys trough creamware. Only need to reregister the board to another user. Then i have to install additional drivers for the second board to be able to use second set of I/O's e.g. source/dest. modules- but how do i do that(install what where)? Could you possibly clarify this for me- step by step(yes i am quite inexperienced). Thank you so much

and another thing, is it at all possible to squeeze two pulsars with I/O daughterboards into PCI slots one next to another.

Mike, if you have a Pulsar Two already installed under SFP, probably all that's needed is to just plug in the new board, connect both Pulsars by the STDM cable and off you go.
All drivers should already be in place.
Just take care that you pickup the right board for registering your new software, like already mentioned.
That doesn't influence useability, but just makes it easier to sell one of the boards later (for example to upgrade to PowerPulsar).
Sometimes it pays off later to think a bit ahead
If all Software is registered on one board you may either sell a single board, or (in case you're through with SFP) a board with full software package.
The registration is totally independent from functionality - the board is nothing but a hardware-dongle in that context.
