Newbie here. Would like to know how to test my system. How is MasterVerb test carried out. Have: Pulsar II/Z-link, SFP 3.1c,Cubase Sx,Msi Kt4V(Via kt400)/athlon 2200xp, Win2K.
I can load 7 Masterverbs into an empty project. Is that OK? Inferno with 16 voices eats up about 85% of my 6 Dsp- is that normal? Thanks for help:)
ps. How do i start up XTC mode? Quick step by step guide would help a lot since the manual says you start the sequencer in live bar, but you cannot use XTC while sfp is running ?? Maybe i have wrong concept of what XTC is?

indeed you can NOT use XTC when sfp is running
about the 85%, seems right 16 voices is a lot for Pulsar.

Hi Mike,

You need to install Cubase prior to installing SFP. During the SFP installation, make sure that 'XTC mode' is enabled, and that you select the correct Cubase-directory for the plug-ins to live.

Then simply start Cubase (without SFP running).

Thx Guys!
Would still like to know bout the MasterVerb test though. How does it work? Do i just load mv's into an empty project? Is 7mv's good for pulsar II? About xtc, i think i messed up with the installation. Will reinstall and try to get it right this time.
Thx again, my your music flourish

g'day,

yeah, just load the mv into an empty project. I get about 9 mv on my pulsar2 in a shitbox celeron2-933/BX chipset PC.

the mv test is quite boring...

stack ya project up with a couple of the synths....that's when the fun starts

7 is respectable for a via chipset.via chipsets work fine, just not as well as intel.(9 mv on an antiquated bx chipset  )

you should be able to do plenty with that setup.i agree, the real fun is when you are recording, mixing and making music....
