Impressed and beyond as well but mainly surprised ...
Why ? I bought recently Prodyssey because it can do things beyond " an another " VA.
I'am totally immune to hype and I didn't tried The Mini yet because ( hit me ) I listened to the lame mp3 and I heard just VA sounds with a character ... the so called Moog touch I thought ...

And frankly : yawn ! not worthy of the price tag and I read people talking about low end, great basses, the Moog sound ... blah-blah ... etc in short you buy the Edge of sounds already heard billions of times ? ( yawn, The Return )

That's why I tried the demo only yesterday ...

Verdict : I don't understand !!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't understand the sounds I've pulled out of this evil creation, I must have recorded an hour, played more than 3 hours : if you do not touch the project, you can apparently play as long as your ears can stand up !

I still have no explanation, I thought I played with some hidden modular underneath, how with so few controls you can achieve such a large range of sounds ??

My Prodyssey took a major beating !

This synth can " morph ", it has silky creamy power, raw power, soundscapes, formant " effects ", FX, smoothness ...

Tweak it while you play and it's a trip !

Well if you don't tweak, you just got 10 % of its potential ...

I've never been so enthused since Flexor !

A little month before buying or if CW wants to quote me for a free copy !

well, you may laugh at me - but the first thought I recently had when a symphony orchestra started to play (live and unplugged) was:
pretty much like Minimax
seriously, I only tried the Mini demo, but that was the impression that remained.
I have to admit that I'haven't been a regular visitor of such concerts (which will probably change in the future)

cheers, Tom

Minimax is indeed a real orchestra, can do anything !
I'am still under the evil spell ... I wonder which are the other Legend synths, not only good sounds but just some controls ( is that all ? ) but when you play and tweak you start to wonder : where's the trick ?

Remember everyone to record you demos time because after a while you may ask yourself : was this that good ?

Astroman, if you'll win some big money, you must gave it to the community and not attend symphony orchestras instead !

Decimator, don't you like live played classics?

I really love Minimax as well!

I had the same kind of experience with it (made several patches from scratch within the first hour of playing with it, couldn't believe the sound and feel). It's my new favorite synthesizer, period.

Actually I am finishing up a review of it to be published on FutureProducers.com - I'll let you guys know in the anouncements forum when it comes out.

Take care

No Herr Voigt, I've nothing against live played classics.

Minimax is a non-cartesian synth, you read the manual, you think it should be piece of cake to explore it and * BAM !* you're engulfed into a parallel universe : it's more like an animal : cat or tiger it depends ...

I really didn't expect this, I thought it was like designer clothes, hype, just cult because of the filter and some sounds but well and hell definitely not such a sensual and surprising beast.

Waiting to read your review Mano1 !
