Hey you mob, just a small question.
If i am to take advantage of the powerpulsar christmas offer, and all i have in my machine is pulsar 1, can i get scope srb and still have low ULLI?
Or will i have to order a powerpulsar?
i did a search on this, couldn't find anything.
cheers, W

afaik,to get the full benefits of the v2 card(ulli, improved pci use, etc),you must get one of the cards with i/o.

regardig 'full benefits' Gary is right, but your latency will indeed be identical to the generation 2 cards.
Nevertheless the external IO of the Pulsar One in that configuration is 'slower' than a regular Pulsar Two because there's some internal extra routing done.
I once asked the same question to CW on phone and that was the answer.
cheers, Tom

Interesting, the dealer says that if he sticks the i/o plate on the srb, it's a powerpulsar and you get low latency.
Well how about that.

Hi Wayne,
You don't need to exchange the IO for ULLI, since ASIO doesnt know it has to travel over STDM. Just set the SRB as first card and you will have ULLI!
Pulsar1 has got fix IO. Only 2nd generation cards have an IO daughterboard. I put the Pulsar
2 IO board on my Scope SRB, it's easy to do, but it takes 2 2nd generation cards.
Have fun with the new card

Make that a powerpulsar without software.

Adding a plate to the SRB does not make it aPowerPulsar.
You will still need the SFP software,
when the I/O + SFP software is added to the SRB then it is a powerpulsar. Oh don't forget the X-mas packs bonus,
cheers

The dealer is contacting CW to see if this may be considered a powerpulsar proper - hope so!
