hello everybody an good night,
two questions for that rainy night :
1.when i have a midi loop that play an sfp synth and i want to export it to a wave file i open a new audio track (i'm using sx as sequencer) set it to record , mute every thing else and record that sfp synth to a wave file .
the dile that i'v created has a latency and
he dont start at the same time as the midi plays.
i know i can press Ctrl+Alt in SX to move the wave file to the start of the loop but
is there a methood that you use to bring that wave file to the biginning of the file
or is there eny mathematical measurement to do this ?
yeh , it was preaty long and hard to explain mysef mybe the answer will be even shorter
Cheers

I'm not at my music pc at the moment, but in 5.1 Cubase there is a section in the Inspector for the midi track where you can move the timing forwards and backwards a bit. This may help.
I'm unsure what you mean about the "dile" that you've created - can you explain this please?

gotta mean File right?
what's your ulli setting?

yep i meant file .
my ulli setting is 34ms , i know that it is a high latency but when i use a low latency
with a lot of fx and synth sx start to cracle and get weird jumps so i moved the
ulli to 34ms and at impruved my preformance.
peace .

working with a ulli of 13 ms, I get a timedelay of about 20 samples (44,1 kHz) when bouncing in Cubase v.5.0 via SFP.
This is half a miilisecond.
Usually I open the audio editor then, make some room at the beginning of the region, and move the whole region 20 ms back in time.
Often I bounce a file more than once (new effects, CPU problems, etc.), so I don't wanne cumulate the delays, tho in fact a single delay of 20 ms is neglectible

20ms or 20 samples?

o.k so far but,
lets say that i am exporting a bass drum loop
from reason or the eds from sfp and i want it to be extremely accurate so i export this drum loop and the first kick in that loop sound different from the other kicks in the loop ,
how do you export this kind and placed it right ?
peace

Maybe increase the Record Catch Range in ms to capture more audio by the left locator (preferences > midi).
Prior to that, the workaround was to take a slice from the kick loop and reconstruct the pattern in a 16 count with it via copy & paste.
I usually exported the kick as an individual loop, so it was accessible. I did notice that some Reason exported loops were not "tight" all the time. Now I only use the program when I use my laptop. Other drum sequencers seem more dead on.

thankz interloper '
the Record Catch seems to be a good idea ,
i'll have to change the catch parameter untill the loop will start when i export it at the "real" begining of it .
cheers
