sometimes i have project in which i use no more that 1-2 sts program.
so my request is: why don't make a very "basic" STS samlper which can load just 1 program, work on a single channel, with 32 (or variable) poliphony or and with no sub-outputs, so that eats very few DSP power? maybe in diffrent versions, with and witout ADSR volume and ADSR basic filter envelope.
the device should necessary respond to CC11 for the realitime expression control, CC10(?) for pan and cc64 for sustain

something like a "SFP improved" old Sample Player which was found in pulsar v.2!

ya, and also add a "AD" env version for drums. I've said it before. STS definitely needs AD envelopes.

Remake STS entirely or just shoot the damn thing and put it out of its misery.

It's about time I think of getting kontakt or giga. This is getting serious.

What about MOTU MACHFIVE sampler?

Look really good, has very good reviews, and support all those formats (kontakt, giga, even STS) and also disk streaming.

I remember hearing that you need to do conversion for mach five.. I'm too lazy for that. But I've also heard good news about it.

All i want is disk streaming !!!
