Been struggling with this for a while. Let's say I load a patch, with an LFO that receives it's frequency from a ConstFreq module. Now I want to feed the LFO from another source, a sync source, let's say a mixer. This doesn't work immediately. Cos after I've deleted the cable, and want to make the new connection, I get a pop-up message about a convertor problem.

The sync/async convertor on the frequency input of the LFO is set to async (by Constfreq), and does not automatically switch to sync anymore. This problem does not show when you connect first a sync and then async. I used to delete the LFO and reload it to make the frequency input available for a sync source.

I have a bunch of presets, and the LFO's settings are stored in them. More exactly, there's a referenced to each module's parameters in the preset list. After deletion and reloading of the LFO, it's references in the patches preset list is removed. This is a bummer, cos I had such a nice collection of presets.

Here's a solution that I found after a marathon session of patching. I don't delete the module, but right-click and disconnect it. Then the sync/async convertor is properly reset, like on loading of a fresh LFO. Important note: the references in the preset list remain.

Reconnect all other wires to/from the LFO, load all presets and re-save them with appropriate settings on the frequency inputting module. The old LFO settings will remain... Resaving with a mixer is quite easy to set up for the original presets: feed the original LFO freq input to one channel, and set it's volume to max, same for mixer output, and silence the other inputs.

There's no disconnect option in the 2.04 mod2 shell by the way, if anyone knows a way...

I hope this might help some of you.
