Maybe I should post this in Off Topic... Here goes anyway:

Does anybody in here use Logic in a computer with more than 1 Gig of RAM? Some people report errors because Logic may interpret more than 1G as a negative number and crash.

Any hints before I buy my new setup?

Paul,

I use Logic 6.x with 1.5 Gigs of RAM. No crashes, no hangs, no problems whatsoever.

For the record....I am on a Mac though.

Very stable

Hope this helps

I should have specified I'm a PC user. With all the new computers that have been bought in the last few months, there must be a couple of you who bought more than 1 Gig of RAM, eh?

Thanks for the response, Kamurah

Well, it seems that version 5 of Logic has a maximum RAM access programmed even into the MAC version. Logically then, the PC version has the same limitation. Thank God for Virtual Sampler Manager, eh?
