.dev file in the devices folder (or whichever subfolder under it) and .pre file into presets folder.

the .pre should go into the presets directory as for the .dev, well plugins or effects?

In the Live Bar check Set>Settings>Directories and make sure the Presets line is pointing at the right directory - should be something like C/SFP3.1a/Presets/

i dont think there are any 'presets' altho there is a preset file witch is used for puting the final liza back to it original state...
im sure i read someone saying "great tool but presets would be nice"

i don't really know about the final liza preset list... this more a general hint, at least this is on mac:
if you try to load a preset file, be sure to widen the preset window and drag the symbol with the two arrows to the left (if i'm not mistaken). i'm not on the DAW right now, so, this is out of memory. you should create a new bank in the left preset list (in SFP) and then import the bank from the preset folder.
i hope i haven't talked bs. i'll check later or someone can verify/correct.

oioi is right, there are no presets in the file. It's just there to avoid a "can't find file" type error message.
It never made any sense to me to create ready-made presets for a multiband, since the settings are different for every signal you throw at it...?

Kim you are right. there is no preset. but waves v4 has a multiband compressor(c4)and it has some basic preset. it helps a lot.
btw do you play gtr?

btw do you play gtr?
In the broad sense of the word, no.
But I have been known to create "1950's sounding" loops and riff's on my own productions.
