Checkout
http://www.siegelmusic.de for free devices. You can find the link at Creamware site......under "LINKS.......then FREE PLUGINS"
I'll leave others to comment on Optimaster. I want one, but my missus won't let me........yet.

Anyone who truly loves SFP should become single and a hermit... like me (saddo that i am), but at least i get to spend all my money on SFP (yippee!). i love Optimaster, definitely worth getting. You could try Final Liza 3
http://www.d-media.dk/plugs/final_liza.htm which is free, so not quite as good as OptiMaster and doesn't have the fab (for lazy folks) Wizard function, but is amazing for a freebie. You might consider PsyQ which is more of a 'sparkle-maker' enhancer, but for best results people usually run OptiMaster into PsyQ. So get both!

Nope, Scope is a good start. After having it you'll want to get: VinCo, Minimax, B-2003, Interpole, Modular, Flexor, Solaris... neverending path.
Actually I'm a bit disappointed as I bought Scope not so long time ago and it was the ultimate board then, having all the available plugins from CW. And now, there's A LOT of plugins to buy... I hope some of those will be part of Scope package in SFP4.

aren't you entitled to get all new plugins from creamware when you bought scope sp even if they are available after your date of purchase?

Nope, it sort of changed ... like it changed some years ago to Pulsar owners.

thats too bad. Creamware sales politics are sometimes weird aren't they?. I know they must make money but when i see a 100 euros return on a pulsar 2 when getting advantage of their loyalty offers for example

! who would want to give their 1200+ euros card for 100 euros??!! even getting 100 euros back on a luna 2 is a joke. Unless there is a catch i didn't see

Hi
The Optimaster is GGGGreat. Try the demo... you will not be disappointed. It comes with loads of presets as well, I try different presets until I get close to the sound I want, then fine tune it.

There is a ton of stuff here on PlanetZ about Optimaster. Do a quick search and you'll find more information than you can stand on the subject. Maybe a nice addition to the website would be a forum devoted to devices and user feedback.
The debate is usually over whether to spend $200 Euro vs. one of the many less expensive 3rd party devices. If you plan to do a lot of mastering then I recommend Optimaster & PsyQ. If you're just an amateur enthusiast then try one of the other less expensive devices.
