Hello again lads.

Im in need of some mastering tools, but I cannot decide which to get. Currently Im looking at Creamwares Optimaster and Sonic Timeworks Mastering compressor.

At 149$ Sonic Timerworks mastering compressor is of course the most economical device compared to the Optimaster. (which can be bought at a special price of 199 euros this month)

I think ill try out demos of both (if I can get them to work on my Mac) but Id also like to hear from people who have used one or both of these devices for additional input.

Any information would be appreciated.

If you're not averse to doing mastering in software here's a very interesting tool I picked up recently:

http://www.voxengo.com/soniformer/

Also I got Optimaster & Vinco recently and I'm quite pleased with both...

they are not mutually exclusive.the st comp is a single band device, the optimaster is multiband.they do slightly different jobs.you might want to use one or both.there is a freebie multiband from the people who bring you st.it's called finaliza.
