Yeah, companies seem more focused on having a Cash-Cow rather than just making a great product of excellence that people want to buy for a good price.
To be honest i'm not totally against Subscriptions i'm totally against Subscriptions-ONLY. I generally don't want Subs for myself but don't have a problem with devs using them for extra cash. They usually seem dumb to me but if the market has demmand for it i have no serious problem with it.
I do have 1 subscription for Audio gear and that's with Roland. Like the Mafia "They made me a offer i could'nt refuse". Roland gives me a couple perpetual-licenses as well with the money i spent on the Subscription. Roland made the Sub make sense to me, wich is something others fail to do.
