I've tried Sylenth once because there's a full midi-mapped controller patch for Lemur
having read about it's sound and filters I was really astonished how few was left
imho it's the coward synth... bails out when it get's critical
(which means instead of just performing a sweep, there's a kind of supervision instance to take the wheel when things get hot)

@tlaskows: the ProWave is a smart way to bring a device to it's essentials
Solaris isn't too complicated once you start to leave out things
it needs some mental preparation which of the oscillators, filters and lfos you're gonna use
to understand a 'foreign' patch is indeed somewhat demanding

There's a "Multicore" button on the Diva. Switch it off and the drop-out and stutters go away IME. Also, make sure that the build is 2165. (Build # is shown on the lower right wood side panel in tiny numbers) I had some problems when I installed the "hotfix" build where the prior unpatched VST would still load until I completely deleted the file. These "tips" helped a lot with the drop-outs and stutters.

shure it must be build 2165 - that's a secret hint... as Scope's Sharcs are named ADSP 21065

Hmm, I haven't had any dropouts with the demo. It hardly touches my CPU (4770k) on most patches.

u-He synths are great and the support and programming is excellent.
I also liked Diva but waited for Zebra2 to incorporate the Diva FIlters, hence Zebra 2 HZ (Hans Zimmer) so I could get the best of both worlds.
Even though an entire Core is needed, and to keep the Matrix Modulation Routing they sacrificed Multi Core. Big Deal....
Use 2 x instances for a pair of Zebras. One with Diva, the other MultiCore Zebra 2.

First rule of soft synth purchases.
Why buy one, when you can have 2 for twice the price.

Smart move, I f'd up on the research. So now I have to buy 2 more. Zebra2 and ZebraHZ. _)x(_

Zebra w/ the Diva Filters gives you FM synthesis, Wavteable extreme and for old Monophonic and Duophonic leads this synth piles on the oscillators and the Dive Filter makes it a serious weapon.

Actually retired a pair of SE-1Xs, shrank the racks and quite happy.

Just 2 years ago I all but gave up on Native synths. Never found 1 that sounded full enough to use against Marshall and Ampeg stacks, much less the 30 inch kick drum our drummer uses.

These dogs hunt.
If you need FAT BASTARD presets, I got 'em.
Most guys there @ KVR are Pad lovers, and arpeggio geeks, they make great presets, but no set of big balls is complete without Hair.

I think I have a problem and this problem is too many Scope synths

Zebra looks nice and I would love some FM type sounds. I used to have a TX802, but it was impossible to program...

Ohhhhje this looks good but many Parameters, and the Sound? I should download and install.

AT the Moment i can only say, that it was love AT First sight when i tried first time. And the Sound is FAT. Its not a fm7 NI Choke. IT Has a serious sound.

You can rebuild original patches Too.

Well, at the moment I'm checking out Zebra and trying to work out why it would be worth nearly double the price of something like Quad (which is kinda looks and sounds like a Vectron on Steroids) : https://soundcloud.com/rob-papen/the-qu ... -by-artist

The Quad sound is not too bad, but it's pretty weak compared to Diva. Plus, it only works with Reason. I use Sonar.

I will look at that CWModular freebie FM synth for sure. I checked out the short demo and the sound is sweet.

Hmm,

The CwmDx uses way too much DSP. Only 3 card system, around 30% at 6 voices.

How is the FM bundle in terms of DSP usage?
