XITE won't (most probably) work with sfp version below 5, so it has to, hasn't it? :)

XITE-1 will contain the plugin-content of the current Scope
professional, incl.Mix'n Master pack2 and Synths'n Sampler pack2.
Moreover some brandnew devices ( dynamics, an awesome new EQ, surround reverb . . .

so plugins to be transferred would be everything beyond S+S2 and M+M2.

if the transfer mechanism works like before, it will involve manual interaction from both sides and take some time, yes.

the transfer procedure as such has its potential dangers, too, since it could under bad circumstances render the giving card unusable until sent in to SC. it should not happen, but it might. the process reprograms the identity of a card, and is therefore erasing the old one. when the module has finished its work, you send the result file, proving the successful erase of your cards identity, to ralf who will generate a new one. during that procedure the card will be not usable for production (maybe it can act as a booster, though).

if SC won't make exceptions for the transition to xite (or provide a different way) this is what you'll have to face.

well, I don't know, exactly. from what I've heard, SC generates the keys for STW, so he should be able to do it, technically. if there is a clause in the contract between SC and STW that permits regenerating fees for STW keys is something I don't know.
wolfs devices are, afair, licensed on a per user base, so the SC key protection scheme doesn't apply (at least for what I bought from him).
wolf, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong :)
