A big thanks to everyone at SonicCore for taking chances and having no fear - thanks for taking the business and running with it. Can't wait to see what the future holds. I know it will be awesome!

Does anyone know if the Username and Password for the shop is the same as on the old site?
As you can tell I'm having difficulty signing in and I'm not sure if its because I'm getting my login details wrong.

the user name and password is for the shop, not a "my page" afaik....

That is correct. It looks like the "My Page" function is now dead or at least not implemented yet.

I am so excited about Scope and Gigastudio both being Vista 64bit compatible together.

I absolutely love the way I have been adding hardware, and using Scope for a 32 MIDI channel project, where every instrument gets separate treatments in SpaceF's FB5 for live work, and Wolf's 32 channel mixer for recording.

All this works well in 32bit XP, but Gigastudio 4 will be a monster under Vista. I really do not see the need to upgrade other than the way I can use tons of RAM ( up to 128GB's in GS4 !! ). My hardware upgrade includes the Intel DP35DP / E6850, 2 x 2GB sticks of 1.8v DDRII PC6400 RAM @ CL4, a new 520w modular PSU, and an additional Raptor as I will fill the 4th slot in my RAID cage for the extra VSTi's I have now. If it works, I will get the QX9650, and 2 x 2GB's more of DDRII RAM, for a total of 8GB's. If that won't load what's needed, I will seek psychiatric treatment.

The new hardware has freed up DSP's for other tasks. Klangboxes are great ideas, too bad Soniccore won't be making more. The Prodyssey sounds and works exactly as should, and the B2003 works beautifully also. These two, using 8 voice Poly on the ARP emu freed up 7 DSP's !! When hardware Solaris arrives next year, hopefully I will have everything in 64bit under control.

I can't see the reason for recording enthusiasts to upgrade to Vista personally. It seems as though it was meant to load more content, which IMO is great for live, but no real advantage for studio work as of yet.

I must say I hadn't expected a Scope 5.0 version at this point in time so I'm pleasantly surprised.
But how much of a big deal this is will depend on what 5.0 is actually gonna be. So far the only thing mentioned is Vista support...
I also wonder why they dropped the Scope name in favour of Sonic Core Platform... Does this system really need another name change? And on the website both the names are still used randomly it seems, talk about confusing!

imho the new site isn't specifically adressing long term users...

but it's a much better approach than the previous one to get someone interested who may have stumbled across the brand name or by google or by whatever
looks optimistic and like something's going on beyond administrating a heritage...

i agree.. cut them some slack...
They just started this thing, and who cares if they change the name

If i took over a company, i would start out fresh, and rename things just to suggest that everything is new.. a brand new beginning without expectations or presumptions about the company. They just got a new web page up and running, and the online store is wokring now! They even offer us a free update! ( if you have 4.5 already) which is great IMO. They just need time.. rome wasnt build in one day

.. but i understand.. i was almost giving up on creamware/soniccore a couple of months ago, but now, things are going in the right direction! I just hope to se the v5 (whatever that may be) within the next 3 months, and i dont really care what v5 includes as long as there is something new and good in it! actually vista support only, would make me happy! not because im ever going to use vista, but because it sends a signal to us that "the powers that be" care about this platform!

Actually, that's not true. If you look at the graphic on SC's web site advertising SCP 5.0, you'll see a couple of new plugins I've never seen before. So there's going to be *something* new besides Vista support.

(Unless that spectrum analyzer plugin is the "Spectral Balance Controller" that was part of v4.5? I never upgraded....)

Those are all older plugs not new ones from what I can see (MCCY mentioned this earlier in the thread). There's the De-Vice one at the left, the red one is the old Vocoder & the Spectrum analyser is a measurement tool that presumably was never released. It certainly didn't come with the sdk.

I would be suprised if SFP5 brings more than the new driver and maybe some minor tweaks....

but for sure I'm really hoping for new device stuff and functional extensions....(new atom stuff)

I'am glad most of third parties have display !

When you'll have time, ask non present yet commercial third parties to be present on the DSP plug ins folder ( Celmo, Wavelength, Wolf, De-Vice ... etc ) links to their shops but their work to provide GUI's snapshots and texts

Oh and full update on Zarg Music synths !

Maybe a " cool composite GUI's picture " to show that there are also free devices under a free device folder with a link to Z .

There's a bunch of stuff here : show it to create at least curiosity !!!

The Sonic Core folder is quite messy : bundles - mixers and Fx - synths folders would be better, add an s to the synthesizer folder.

More nitpicking things to add but since it's a first great release and you have other things to do ... I say well done and carry on !
