And you'll have only one of them. Vinco can be inserted in MANY slot + master (on my 7dsps i load about 10 of them, and still having dsp resources left)

Wow this looks really exciting. This might be my pro compressor purchase.
I don't really care how it compares to UAD, mainly because I have no intention of purchasing it.
I'm more interested in a comparison between Vinco and that Compressor-X or whatever from Sonic Timeworx.
I heard that was the best of the best. Is it still the best post-Vinco?

I don't know, maybe it's a question of taste. I prefer Vinco.

hello friends!
i've got vinco today and it's amazing.
i noticed a bug, the input meters are inverted and, i don't know if it's a bug, they seem to show the input regardless of it's knob value.
the sound is really beautiful.
i tried it loaded in the modular i posted on planetz called "3 band processor", so having three of them as multiband, and i can say that i never heard such a powerful tool on a computer.
the SX "heaven and hell" demo song (that is muddy with too many freqs. fighting for some air imho) got an incredible depth....even if you load the vincos with default settings and turn a bit down vinco's out knob for the highs, you get everything transformed!
very very happy!
ciao.

Damn it!!! Yet something else i want and need and can't afford. Thanks a lot Apple for forcing me to buy SX and fork over $299 to Steinberg Jones! Everything else will have to be on the back burner.

I´m going to build an insert-module with x-over filtes AND right stereophase for any efx...: "ST mastering-processor goes multiband??"

Hi Alfonso,
I read your post and thought I'd see if I could recreate the bug. I tried the Stereo Vinco as an insert in an insert slot yesterday and the input meters seemed fine to me!
Maybe there's a difference between the Stereo & Mono versions? I'll try the mono out when I have time (next week - I'm away from this afternoon).
But it DOES sound great doesn't it?
Ciao,
Ben

hi ben.
the mono version could not show anything because i was talking about L-R swapping of input vu's.
it happens to both the type of meters, the output ones are ok and the device doesn't swap the channels, so it's ok to work with.
currently i'm researching for standard att.,rel. and ratio settings of similar plugs to make basic presets, that i will divide into banks related to the plug (or unit) copied, that i will post asap.
of course the presets will be as close as possible considering the totally different design of the plugs.
i've made a bank copied from waves renaissance c. and i must say that vinco kills it!
i'm going also to write presets for the vinco "band related", to use them in the multiband modular.
ciao!

hi andrè,
the modular patch "3band processor" uses some phase canceling stages to reintegrate the signal portions that don't pass through the filters.
the sound seems not bad, it should be correct enough...
