I´m litlle confused;
I have a laptop IBM thinkpad T40, has "Cardbus Texas Instruments PCI-1520" , I suppose this is not PCIe, but will have the same PCI bandwith limit than with the Magma?
We have reading lots of times opninions about the missing of RAM slots on the actual cards. It would be interesting for sampling...
Please, any Sonic-core guy can tell something about this?
Read about your CardBus-controller here:

What a laptop needs is an expansion-slot for a so called ExpressCard.
It does what a CardBus does, but on a PCIe level.

Fantastic News SonicCore and all involved. And now we can all record about 10 songs all at the same time, hehe. Or even 20 songs with 2 XCITE units

Now I have to sell my new OASYS, haha...just kidding John C

Seems I would need also a new laptop. There is an adaptor ExpressCard-PCMCIA, but seems to work also with USB cards, and wireless etc:

thats the answer to older note book owners

Well, the system is a unbeatable as a mobile solid workstantion, but a little expensive for a Home musician. And have to change the laptop. Shit!

Very cool product.
It's expensive but the potential market is small considering what is fashionable these days.
Too pricy for me really (spent too much on hardware recently) but I'll be looking out for current 14-dsp cards going for peanuts

This to me is removing the shackels of DSP limitations.
I have learned to get along w/ 3 cards and add lot's of hardware.
If I am correct 10 times the power of a 14 DSP card would translate into a sick amount of plugs and poly.
Maybe 64bit and 96k live isn't just a dream anymore.
Perhaps it's the Recptors, and OpenLabs Nekos that will be dirt cheap now.

finaly its here, might consider returning to my loved platform.
i do miss it but i had to move on where scope was standing still for years.
i expected a more competing price though to beat the rivals in the market.
someone who's not faliliar with the platform and the quality might choose TC cause its more then half the price cheaper.
marketing strategies...hope SC learned from the past what works and not.
better to get my saving on
hope to see you soon again
cheers!

Retail price About 2698,- EUR. That's the introductory price, i believe it will cost more later. Hopefully i can find it for $2698 USD here in America. Our dollar is weak and i'd hate to pay EURO.
