but all eq's are limited in cw

Post by Wired »

it seems to my ears that all eq's have a sound in cw, that may be the limits in uberdsp, i had a duende, and the algo's let the 50hz (kick) sound so real and clean and the bottom end had something cw can't do (solid and thick bottom instead of poppy and unmusical), ...but thats not to say one could get 'almost' there without spending 2k, ...this is what we are up against, devices ison does alot in mechanics of what ssl has with the undershoot and overshoot, but it still can't give what hi end gear can do sonically, but its 'close' and uad can't do it for some reason also (it almost sounds the same as cw, eq wise)

it doen't matter so much, if your music is good, it sounds good, even if it sounds bad...
any qualified EQ would do for me what I think I need to adjust.
The ISON is great, if not the best, tho I'd still prefer a 'typical' clean GUI, but that's taste.
