Hi, i have the Art DPS. It's like a 2 channels Tube MP Studio with OPL in a 1U rack, + digital ADAT or optical SPDIF output... Very practical for connecting to Pulsar, adding some AD/DA as an extra. Costed ~220€, and i like it very much.

I use it all the times with electric guitar, Basses, and my Rode NT1000 or SM58. Each setting on the front is usefull in a different utilisation. The opl seems to be working perfectly is job. When activated, there is never any digital clip possible at the output.

The tube adds alot if you wish. You really control how much of the signal goes thru the tube, so you have control over coloration.

There isn't much noise in it, less than my previous Art Tube MP (not the studio one, it didn't have the OPL either, old model).

Their converter sound correct in all frequencies, didn't have any critics for them.

Highly recommandable unit. I would consider buing a second unit exactly the same if ever i need another pre.

marcuspocus... so your unit does not have the ART Variable Valve Voicing (V3) functionality?

I am just asking for confirmation that your unit has the same functionality as the ART Tube MP Studio and NOT the ART Tube MP Studio V3.

Thanks.

Yes it has the V3, Variable Valve Voicing...

It is their newer stuff, the Art DPS, you can also look at the Art TPS (same but no digital output)
