so what? what does that even mean? Greenland and Iceland had considerable farming in the middle ages, so i've been told, although for the last couple hundred years, that's been something that's more limited due to weather...
instead of weak bitch-ass remarks like that, which you don't even understand, why not take a crack at answering my questions? at least tell me how the Earth survived the extremely hot period 400 years ago, if this current moderately warm period(as far as Earth's history is concerned) is the end of everything. all evidence points to such warm periods as easy living(except for Europe's government(s) in the middle ages).
your respoinses are weak, because your argument is weak. the weakest part is that you refuse to look at data that is universally accepted when it disagrees with your pet theory. that is most unscientific.

I can answer that for you, although I am sure you already know this.
Parrots are great for their capabilities to recite/repeat, but they'll never be able to explain aerodynamics, even though they fly.
We had 2 giant Macaws at the music store, that would be covered up on Saturday and left in the dark until Monday when the store reopened.
Uncovering them was always fun as they both would recite everything they knew until they were fed, and would settle back down.
My favorite Parrot was named Pete.
He was trained to say Whhhhaaaattttttt..?? everytime he heard the word " dollar."
This was a gift I left behind for future salesmen who would be discussing dollars with clients in the PA Rental area, just saying " for 600 dollars, we could set your show up..." would get Pete to loudly say WWWHHHHHAAAAATTTTT....? It was perfect.
I love Parrots, but when the Icebergs from the Poles start crashing into their havens I am afraid the end of times will be upon us.....

well, topics that can lead to the loss of humanity's freedom or forced depopulation aren't subjects that are about winning an argument. they're subjects that are about sussing the truth. no expert or authority should be dismissed, nor blindly accepted. careful and rational thought and discussion is required. it's true that a music message board is not the right place for this, nor is it capable of being the right place. it's good to discuss these issues and to have an opinion, but just blindly trying to win the argument is no help to anybody(what's right is right, and the truth is what is searched for and needed). it's selfish and potentially a hazardous act, if public policy is decided based on such arguments and behaviors.
now, back to fun!

now, back to fun!

Keep it up. I am sure that Sarah Palin, Tea Baggers, republicans, conservatives and libertarians all love your complete and total ignorance of science. You must be a product of our fine public school system which is often controlled by states who wish they could fight the civil war over again. Sorry about the inbreeding. I wish we could federalize you now!garyb wrote: so what? what does that even mean?

The reason democracy has failed us is because southerners are way too stupid to be allowed to participate.

Some of them are not literate enough to communicate without pasting photos. That indicates a very low level of intelligence.
Re: NOAA: last decade was warmest, global warming "undeniabl
On a scale of 1-10 how would you rank such idiots as Jimmy? It would have to be below zero. Surely a more idiotic person on the face of the earth (which is heating because of humans) could not be found.

braincell, you quoted me, but then you cherry picked to avoid answering difficult questions. to help you, here's my entire post:
if you can't wanswer my requests, it's just because you are talking out your fanny, trying to win an argument, even at the cost of being truthful and factual.
here's the graph again, to avond confusion(yes, it's just a link to the first posting to save bandwidth and server space):

as you see, i'm searching for meaning in your cut and pastes. what EXACTLY does this data mean in the light of the FACT that 400 years ago was MUCH warmer than today. please explain why the 500year temperature graph is innaccurate, if you think it is, and what the true data is, if you know. if the graph is accurate, then explain WHY i need to panic in relation to current warming trends in light of the FACT that the present day is the END of a small ICE AGE.garyb wrote:so what? what does that even mean? Braincell,
I am really sorry that a southern boy stole your woman before you could experience her warmth. You should move on though, and experience sex with a woman once while you still have some lead left in your pencil. Much more fun than blogging all day and getting red faced.
I have some tips for you while the weather is still warm.
Find a hand held garden rake, then rake your back in vertical movements until you can't stand the pain anymore. Then when you go swimming in a public spot, you'll notice the girls that use to laugh at you will see the marks on your back, and possibly mistake you for someone that is capable of having sex.
Your compositions will have less sustained pedals and dissonance, and life in general might be worth living again.
Hope It Works 4U, let me know.

braincell, you are a font of misinformation. when you call ALL southerners stupid, you are really engaging in the most unfair type of rhetoric. it's an easy step to ALL Jews or ALL blacks or ALL Frenchmen or Germans or whomever you have a streotyped negative mental picture of. one who groups people according to his stereotyped mental picture of hatred is called a bigot.
there are many fine human beings in the south whose only fault in life is that they were born in the south, just like there are jackasses in the north whose only claim to fame is that they were born in the north. all of them, north and south, are the exact same homo sapiens sapiens. life is not the cartoon that runs in your head, nor is the flickering images on your tv or computer screen(just a clue for you).

Avalanche of rain and mud kills at least 127 in China
The torrential downpour which began Saturday is the latest disaster in a summer season that has brought the nation's worst flooding in a decade.

History of St Petersberg
http://www.cityvision2000.com/history/floods.htm
The biggest flood occurred on November 19, 1824, when the flood waters had reached 13.5' (410 centimeters) over the usual level. On that day most of the city was flooded, between 208 and 569 people got killed and 462 houses destroyed.
Now I wonder if they had the internet back then how they would be rationalising that one....
