Pluggo is the maxmsp engine just without the actual software..its free and you can run plugs in it that got created in maxmsp.Its pretty neat.
Pluggo is not free. You are able to install the runtime and some free plug-ins may benefit from it. The official pluggo-plug-ins will of course only operate in demo mode.

its A pluG-eator it will eat plugs by boxes of twelve

*Not bad in my opinion and steinberg Yamaha are supporting them

Where do you see the support? They are just distrbuting it says the note.
