my ulimited source of ignorance and creativity leads me to ask for a 16 stereo channel & 4 stereo busses version!
20 stereo channels would be more perfect., and "deafing" the channels
from the main mix so we can reroute the busses back into the mixer.
[ channels 1 / 4 ] -> [ bus 1 ] -> [ channel 17 ] -> [ mix ]
[ channels 5 / 8 ] -> [ bus 2 ] -> [ channel 18 ] -> [ mix ]
[ channels 9 /12 ] -> [ bus 3 ] -> [ channel 19 ] -> [ mix ]
[ channels 13/16 ] -> [ bus 4 ] -> [ channel 20 ] -> [ mix ]
I do this with stm2448 now! Is there much sound differnce with the vm1242 ?
I am not hearing much.... should I ?

Hi Harmany, you can remove any channel from the mix by pressing the buttons with the channel no's which are just beneath the faders. All 12 channels, all four returns & busses 1/2 & 3/4 can all be switched on or off the mix using those buttons. So doing what you want is entirely possible, just on a slightly smaller scale.
About the solo functionality, check no.6 on the 'to do' list :)
There is indeed a difference in sound between this & the stm mixers. You should be able to notice a subtle, but good sounding difference at the mix & buss stages.

ok. well I will start hooking up some of my projects and we'll see how it goes!
I am asuming you'll forget about the whole "stereo channel linking" crap and just add nice m/s buttons ;p

No I'm going with the stereo linking on this mixer so that left & right channels can be treated separately.
btw, I will not make a 16 channel mixer this year because Wolf has put a lot of work into building a nice 16 channel mixer for you guys & he announced a couple of months back that it would be released sometime this year. Out for respect for Wolf's wonderfull work, I will therefore NOT release a 16 channel mixer even if I happen to make one for myself.

Shroomz, all this tube stuff is so damn hot it doubles the Platform-value once again!
Here comes a tip for that tube-modules in the mixer: You know, I love those envelope-followers... Take an ev & an exp. vca before and after ECC-module and let the EV control the vcas controversery: You will get a very simple but lively sounding tube compressor !

Thanks, Martin, but we're really just scratching the surface of the sdk at the moment. Time will bring some more nice devices for Scope, that much I'm sure of.
Your tube compressor suggestion would be a nice addition to the mix & busses, but since the mix & busses are loading on a single dsp on the dsp-locked versions, there just isn't enough available resources without going onto another dsp. I'll think about though, because it's a really nice suggestion. :)
cheers ;)

Some other nice toys are in developement here. Stereo/mono-version of that compressor, MuBaCo4tube & some other nice goodies are at it's work allready
B.t.w. You were right ECC dsp is part of the SDK-installation! So lets tubifize Scope!

Great news !!!

btw Martin, I think your MOVeq+ is possibly THE most downloaded free plug for Scope ever, so Congrats & many thanks for something so advanced. It really is the best free EQ ever released on Scope & also better than most of the commercial ones !!

ATM we're undecided about the 'stereo linking crap'
Let's just wait and see

Brotha' Man Sharc,
You and Shroomz are celebrities now, and rightly so. The papparazzi's will be dogging you soon.
My sweeties back, and we are going to see Lee Ritnour this weekend, another great player of yore. We shall cruise on a " Duece, Double Decker Bus ". 4 a meagher 5 USD, you can cruise 4 24 hours, and I shall tip a few yards of Watley's in honor of the Brotha's Of Britain.
The devices you guys made are definately Top Shelf IMHO. I encourage you guys to do more. We in the States have a saying when describing a great bargain, It's a sore-dick deal,...............You can't beat it.
Your devices w/ be punishing many w/ FAT, drippy, SPL's galore.
Carry On,

What do you think about having a full meter bridge built into the fader section like this below?

Space saving.

shroomz the meters are a must,
I though of that too.... and thats a great idea!
btw: It may be just me but I don`t really like the look of the knobs, don`t know why, but you got much better looking knobs like these for example....

so just my opinion, nothing really important....
some colouring may be good too, for visual separation on the EQs
GREEN top for High freq
BLUE top for mid freq
RED top for low freq.
just an idea...

Yesh, my sweaty fingers keep slipping on those smooth knobs
The meter bridges by the faders looks great!

- meters are great! does it include a clip led on the top?
- i support the idea to bring some colour to the knobs for better optical separation
- new request: user changeable dsp distribution (like stm2448)
- unfortunately, i still didn't have the time to test it, DAMN
cheers

Katano, if you haven't already, don't test it until you get v0.2, as there's several improvements.
Hifiboom & Husker, so you dislike novation knobs?
