So please make those tests before spreading it's a fact.

If you think monsta cannot get "that mini bass sound", right. But it's not a fact, it's a point of view, because "that mini bass sound" isn't that precise...
The only fact is that everyone can download the m:m demo & decide by himself.

btw the SE1x is a great synth!

regards
I already did  (along with other people from KVR forum) The files are there to be downloaded with full spectrum bmp too...so yes, it's a fact. Don't get me wrong, the Minimonsta it's a very good synth and I think it's the best current native Minimoog emulation. It just doesn't have that bottom end that ALL Minis have. That part of Minimoogs is ALWAYS precise. If you spend a long time with a real Mini you'll know what I'm talking about...

You can make a recording which sounds like a room full of Minimoogs with one Moog, real or not, because as always, it's not 'what you have', but rather, 'what you do with it' that counts.

Surely ?

Creamware however, have captured the true sound, sense & feel of the mini. No dought.

.....and the Noah is simply sublime

Where's that full spectrum bmp? I assume you're referring to this thread:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=76613
But I don't see any bmps there...

Mister man-machine,
1)i know that kvr thread...
2) sending/hosting files is not making real objective tests. I'll second red-force here, starring at an fft is *not* checking the spectrum content of a signal. Buy Audition if you wanna make a serious objective work on spectrum analyses. btw where are the bmp? there aren't any. What where you talking about ? Am I talking about the wrong thread?
3) i'm sorry but still no fact. Nobody on this thread said m:m cannot get "that mini bass sound", as you're so sure about. The only tendance i can see in this thread is that Arturia's doesn't sound equally good, just compared to m:m and max.

exactly what i'm saying.

so no, it's not a fact.

I wouldn't say a word if i didn't know what's the real mini sound all about. At least, i know the mini sound of all the units i've played with / tested.

I have the bitmpap if you can't find the link. I could email to someone that wants to host a link.

Alright Daneel, since you did so many tests that are way superior than mine. Come on, now it's your turn to put the money where your mouth is and show us proof that Minimonsta does low basses just like a Minimoog (or even Minimax for that matter). I actually want you to be succesful because I'd rather use native solutions instead of a DSP card. I just don't have much faith in you because I already tried it and the Minimonsta demo does not have those low basses. I was really hoping the Minimonsta could replace my Minimax...

You're affiliated with Gmedia and obviously very biased so it won't matter what anybody else here tries to say about it. It'll be a waste of our time so this is the last time I'll bother...

ok
i didn't say i have facts about the m:m (you did). I just talked about my own preferences (see prev posts), saying many times it is only my own preferences. I have no evidence to proof my own preferences. btw i said i still prefer max for classic bass sounds...

You said m:m "can't make" the kind of basses you talked about. And you say "it's a fact", that you have analyses, and that many people agree with you. (who???)
Who's supposed to show evidences? What you call a fact isn't a fact for you do not give evidence (the evidence you obviously do not have). It's fake infos.

You don't like m:m's bass sound, ok. Great! don't use it. But it's not a fact.

of course i'm biased (btw never been paid by anyone @ ohmforce/gmedia, just to clear it up) just as you are. I said i still prefer max for classic bass sound, is that so much biased? I feel i'm far more objective than you are, Mr Facts And Proofs.
I'm wasting my time there too. My goal isn't to make you agree with me, but to say to anyone else :

Don't believe the hype.
Even if the hype is shouting it's a fact and he has evidences.

*Just believe the demo you can download and try*

I hope this polemic will end on those words, for i have music to do.

I have played with a real mini and yes the bass is rather insane at times lol, I think both minimax and monsta are nice but neither can give the same as the real deal, the minimax has a special character and sounds wonderfull to my ears, its clean and deep and is capable of some very nice mooglike tones, is it the same? naa I sold a source recently that made some unreal nostalgic basslines used in all of those new order tracks and the like since the minimax was capable of close sounds, but in the end its all just about style and what works for you, I like the fact that minimax has such a good sound and is powered by the DSPs and not my CPU

Cheers!

i think audio is getting away from native solution because of economical considerations too : have you ever seen a cracked UAD plug-in?

I think I read someplace that the UAD software was able to run on certain "video Cards" without the challenge codes....
