In a couple of years I'll switch to Samplitude, when a) I can afford it and b) the MIDI is improved. Until then I'm very happy with Cubase SX.

It seems they are giving Tracktion 1.6 for free now. I've been playing with it a bit and found it great what comes to audio arranging, fast and easy.
But MIDI seems to be most horrible I've ever seen in a sequencer. I'd like to ask other Tracktion users, do you have any problems with midi timing?
For example, if I create a midi drum track and send it to scope STS sampler, it's playing back like worst drummer ever born. It even plays unexpected 'fills' for me, lol.
Any glue what could be wrong?
I've been wondering if these midi timing problems could be scope related as at some point also cubase sx starts to shift notes worng places when I record them.

I use Tracktion - I love the routing in it and it works great with Scope but the MIDI editor is a bit shitty and it doesn't support MIDI sync - so it cannot sync up i.e set Traction and Scope devices to the same clock/beat.

However, I contacted Mackie and a chappie there said Tracktion v2 (coming out soon prob at the NAMM thing in Jan 2005) will support it and I reckon there will be huge improvements. IMHO Tracktion v2 will be the best sequencer to use with Scope
