I think this is a great idea, it might make CW sit up and take notice a little bit.. don't get me wrong I love the Creamware system and I recommend it highly to people I know but bugs are bugs and they are very annoying things.
Having said this, I personally don't find the modular bugs crippling (mainly because I set up patches on a song-by-song basis and don't really care for presets) but for the community as a whole it is very annoying.

I think they take notice just fine. A lot of this platform was built on user-feedback. The real issue is that we as users don't know what they are trying to address and in what order of importance.
Obviously they have to keep pumping out devices to give NOAH a river to float on, but they can't have a buggy install-base. With a comparatively small staff, this cannot be easy to balance.
BUT, I think an organize list of bugs with an occasional response of "Okay, this one's in our list of priorities for SFP 4, we'll see what we can do, it's pretty late in the game. It may have to wait for a patch release shortly after," from Matthias or Frank, or one of the kind people who pop in now and again, would go a long way towards keeping the faith and inspiring more confident purchases.
That way people aren't throttling their computers when something happens to their song, with no knowledge that anything is being done about it.
At least if they know it's coming it helps build excitement for the next releases. Flexor is a good example. I notice that we haven't heard much from the most rabid posters re: flexor.

Happy people make music, not complaints.

I agree about bugs database for registered users, we could know we're not alone with this peculiar bug, CW with all the data gathered could fix things faster.
I want as well power to the people, polls : what do you want first ? kind of synths and FX ?
Garanteed hits, satisfaction for users, more happy people ...
Concerning Flexor again : what strikes me is the productivity, I make so much presets so easily and so fast that I don't even have the time to name them properly !!
It's just : date ( day and month ) and number i.e 61117 ! I need a preset incrementer to make things even faster !
You don't have to wrestle the patch to pull good presets, just turn a knob one hair to the right or left and bingo ! real new one !
Whatever you do, it's rarely mild or worthless that's why I have the most difficulties to unplug before going to bed !
The most sharp sounds I ever heard and the most fast + " hi resolution " changing timbres too ...
My ears have troubles to follow the pace !

Did you see the latest glowing review of Reaktor in Electronic Musician? On sound quality, they give it a 5 out of 5!

A 5 out of 5??? I'd give it a 4, maybe 4.5 at best...maybe.

Yeah - I question their integrity.

SoundOnSound is the *only* magazine that I hold in somewhat high regard for the quality & breadth of their coverage. Usually all the other magazines wait until something has passed the 'buzz' phase on the net and made it up to being an 'established' player in the industry before giving adequate coverage. Not to mention that most mags focus on pushing hardware and the interviews/techniques section tend to gloss over everything without ever going into truly useful detail. Again not so for SoS--and they even open up articles older than 6 months to the nonsubscribing public on their website!
The only real caveat that I see to this is the master chops sections in Keyboard magazine where they do actually do some explanation of the keyboard techniques covered.
This isn't particular to just this industry obviously...PC Magazine & Ziff Davis used to excel at pushing new technology in the late 80's/very early 90's but they've long since ceased to innovate and definately support the same set of players that advertise constantly...etc for most industries.

...and never hear from them again. I think there needs to be SOME communication about what they've got in the pipeline. Not necessarily about upcoming products, but at least some word that they know it's an issue and expect to have in time for SFP version 4.12 or whatever. Something.
