I haven't tried sx yat ,however i've beena cubase user for a long time.One thing is certain though ,samplitude that i've be using for recording and mixing for the last two years is by far the best audio application out there and yes it sounds better.Idon't know the tech side of why does this happen ,perhaps their code or something ,but it does.I only wish i could strech to sequoia.

I know that Samplitude uses a graphic representation of the file(like taking a picture of it)and manipulates it that way which is different from Cubase etc.
