I too bought the GAM and have never looked back. I play a home-made guitar, 1.5 inch Mahogany with 1.5 inch Silver Ash glued together - very heavy but resonant body. Vintage Seymor Duncan(bridge) and Demarzio(neck) pickups. This thing screams.... been getting some great UK-crunch for rhythm tracks. I record two tracks and pan them hard left and right for a HUGE sound. I have been using the phase Inv on one track and reversing it for the next track (I read somewhere that this is what you would do if you were actually recording a mic'd guitar amp and then panned two takes L and R)... anyway, the sound is huge... LOVE it...
Thanks CELMO

That’s interesting Blgrace. As a rule, the heavier&harder is your guitar, the better it’ll sound cos the structure will dispatch the sounds faster out of itself reaching the pick ups with more energy and so the vibrations of the sound being more consistent and regular. The sustain will be a few seconds longer compared with soft-body-guitars. I see you’ve got a powerful combination with these pick ups you have chosen. I would love to hear some of the sounds you “scream” out of it, and even would like to see a picture of your handmade guitar... Could you perhaps put something into the music forum? That would be great!
The GAM, well… I’ve said enough I guess…, but I want to say more: It’s extremely inspiring! I use my guitar all the time now, before, it would be frustrating to be looking for the right sound, finally not being satisfied at all, never. Now, I just plug it, go to the presets I’ve created for the sounds I want, and there it is… the perfect take, the perfect sound. My imagination struggles against the fact it’s a “VIRTUAL” plug-in!

No, you can post it into our Music Forum, you post the music, your explanation about it, whatever information you want to add and your picture. Just need to have your picture published somewhere in the net first, then you add the picture and that is all, the picture will appear. If you don't know how, please, refer to the BBCODE page, you can find below every post, click it and learn, it's easy. I’m going to do it right now to show you the GAM from the Celmo’s web page, for instance. Look:

That’s it! Cheers…

Thanks very much! I'll be posting a few short songs made with the GAM, hopefully soon. I'm going there straight away to watch and hear your guitar! Cheers...

Hi ....
I'm curious as to the kind of latency to expect.
Also, would the Luna be an OK card to run it on?
The reason behind my asking is that I am at present using the Digitech RP7 processor. I am very happy with it but I want to make some tonal choices later in the process..
I am assuming that I could record a clean sound into the system and then modify the tones later?
Thankyou:)

There's no latency issues in GAM or at least I haven't noticed any problems. I've been recording a lot of DI guitar stuff with different setups since I got the GAM. I never use it alone but it's the last "effect" on my signal chain and it is truly magical in taming the DI sounds.
You can easily use it afterwards on pre-recorded tracks. I did this to some old basslines that needed more in-your-face attitude and it did a great job. Without it I would have had to play the things again.
And then there's the X-machine but that's a different story...

NON, there is no latency at all. You can play as you would with an real AMP, there is no difference.

Of course it would. The GAM it’s a very light DSP plug-in, it takes as a chorus S would take. You could load about 7 of then into three DSP sharks.

You can use it in several ways. For instance, you can load two GAM, then routing them as if they were mono plug-ins. That way, you can use two presets at the same time, one for the left channel and the other for your right channel, this would give you a very interesting sound. To that, I would add two delays, one for the left and one for the right channel, with different tempos and settings. That way you’ll get a big sound for leads.
The more you go, the more you love, the more you love, the more you go… AND SO FORTH…
Thankyou:)
You're welcome!

Unitar, Nestor,
Thankyou for your help.
I'm new to Creamware .... yet to get a card.
Powersamler because I will want to use some of that realtime Sound to midi conversion .... Use my guitar as a controller .... I'm better at it than I am at keyboards.
I'm over the moon to hear that this guitar processor is NO latency and also not too much load.
Thanks:)

Well ... heare I am again!
I got the Powersampler and have beenplaying with the Demo of Celmo's Virtual Guitar Porcessor.
As soon as I can find soeone who is willing to use their card to buy it for me, then I will get the full version.
I got it up and running.
the chain I have got running at the moment is:
noise-gate
GAM
output 1 direct into Reverb
output 2 dir3ect into basic distortion then into reverb.
I am glad that the full version has that extra Bass tone adjustment ... that was just about my only negative feeling about the overall sound.
Though even as it is, I can see it sitting well into a mix. I generally need to take a lot of bass out of the guitar. However, I do like choice.
The only change I would make would be to add a noisegate at the beginning as a matter of course. It is needed for the heavily distorted sounds.
Apart from that, I can only bow down ni AWE.
I am very pernikety about what sounds my guitar makes
[Paul Reed Smith Standard]
the GAM has more than fulfilled my expectations.
Which is a good thing, because, given that I had been teetering between bying Creamware or RME, both very good devices, then this GAM possiblity was a factor in my decision.
AND .... I suppose this might be a good place to say it .... because I am not really into those ''HELLO!!!!!! I'M NEW HELOOOO' kind of posts .....
Then another factor that got me to buy Creamware .... is the quality of the people on this forum. I have been listening to music made by PlanetZ forum members and I have been reading the discussions in threads for a few months.
Anyway. his is my first post on the forum as a Powersampler-owning Creamware user ... so ..... er .....
''HELLO!!!!!! I'M NEW HELOOOO'
And very much thanks for your helpful reples as I was trying to get my mind around understanding the GAM. I appreciate that a lot.

Some great screaming sounds are coming out of this little virtual box, I want to share the fun with you!
Check it out in a couple of days or so, you, hot sounds lovers...
I’m building up a few songs for an English friend so I have to spend some time searching for the right guitar sounds. Doing so, I’m going to take advantage and going to do some little recordings for you guys, with this incredible MACHINE-GAM, yes, cos it’s killer!

Wel .... I now have the full version. That bass boost makes a bit more of that 'difference that makes a diffrence.
I had recently got the Powersampler and have been taking my time getting to know the routing methods. I now have got my MIDI connections worked out.
Much of my time is spent getting to know the GAM. I am getting more of the opinion that Creamware could launch a third LUNA-based product aimed at guitarists ... mainly featuring the GAM.

Hey Zenda, so you’re in the game now too! I’m glad for that! WELCOME TO THE Z TEAM.
Any of the DSP stations from Creamware are great, one of the main things is that you can always go and get another DSP card to expand your system. This is what I intend to do someday... hopefully soon… I just need another 6 sharks to be in ecstasy; at the moment I have 4 and it’s not always enough power.
The GAM, yeaaa, good idea, it could be included in the Creamware shop or something so people would get to know it more.
